Grilled Asparagus with “Stir-fry” Sesame Sauce

Grilled asparagus is delicious tossed with an Asian-spiced sesame “stir fry” sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus ends trimmed
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 TB soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp minced ginger
  • 1 scallion thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Heat a gas or stovetop grill over high heat. Coat with cooking spray and grill asparagus for 7-10 minutes, turning frequently, to char on all sides. Place in a shallow dish.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger. Pour over asparagus, toss to coat, and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds.
