Cook Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 4 Servings

  • 2 TB low fat mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ tspsiracha, or more to taste
  • ½ tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp minced ginger
  • ¼ tsp minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 lb sea scallops, rinsed and dried
  • Cooking spray
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 TB minced cilantro

Combine mayonnaise through rice wine vinegar in a small bowl.  Reserve.  Coat a gas grill or grill pan with cooking spray and heat over high heat. Spray both sides of scallops with cooking spray and season with salt.  Grill for 2-3 minutes per side or until grill marks are evident and scallops are cooked through.  Serve garnished with spicy ginger aioli and cilantro.

The aioli can be made up to 2 days before serving.  For a fun party presentation skewer 2-3 scallops on a small skewer before grilling and serve on a platter with aioli for dipping.
